Dartmouth was one of 19 colleges and universities to participate in the Mellon Undergraduate Fellowship Program. The program, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, seeks to encourage minority undergraduates to pursue academic careers by funding research and by repaying student loans if an undergraduate eventually earns a doctorate.
