For some reason it seems that everyone I speak to from the class is reluctant to tell me anything about their life for fear that it will end up in print. A notable exception is Marion Grover who wrote me a caustic, though well-intentioned letter pointing out that I left her off my report of a recent wedding I attended. Despite this oversight, the quick-to-forgive Marion, who works in the marketing department of Metropolitan Life in New York, wrote, "I can still find it in my heart to give you some info on another classmate of ours." She reports that Miriam Feinstein Lupien and husband Tony '82 live in Baltimore and recently gave birth to their second daughter Rachel on July 9. The couple have another daughter, Hannah, and recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary.

A bit less receptive to a place in this column was my ex-good friend Elizabeth Brody Gluck, who after refusing to speak "on the record" finally acquiesced, about 40 minutes into our recent conversation, and allowed me to mention that she is living in Brookline, Mass., with husband Ron, is in her second year at Northeastern Law School, and has recently returned from a trip to Austria and Switzerland. Liz spent the summer clerking for a superior court judge and spends part of whatever free time she has freelancing for magazines in the Boston area. She sees Carol Radeck Lev and husband Mark on occasion and said that Carol is in her third year at BC Law and has signed on to clerk for a federal judge when she graduates. Liz also saw RobertLevine at their tenth year reunion for Waterville (Maine) High School. Since graduating from the University of Maine Law School, Robert has been practicing law in Portland.

In fairness to my readers, I will point out that there is one sure way to receive immunity from an appearance in this column should I accost you on the phone for information. By letting me in on the latest news on seven of our classmates, one recent recipient of my monthly pre-deadline telephone plea certainly earned his or her immunity. Specifically I learned this: Paul"Chill" McCarthy recently finished NYU business school, and at press time was still deciding among employers; Thane Russell and wife Kerri live in upper Canada, where he does research work for an oil company; Steve "Sluggo" Day and Kate Bravar Day live in California, where, my source tells me, "Kate is vigorously climbing the corporate ladder and Steve has not yet decided whether to put a foot on the first rung." Tod Bensen is working in London for an investment bank. Fred "Boppster"Bopp is a lawyer in Portland, Maine, and is "desperate for a good game of beer pong." Simeon Schindelman recently married BC grad Laura Hecker. The happy couple lives in Hartford, where Simeon is an actuarial for Aetna and spends his spare time racing his Porsche 911. Nick Coussoule is living in Scandinavia, where he is working in the computer industry and, in the words of my source, "knocking the blondes dead." My source also reveals that Lynne Colwell-Trefler and husband Leon '85 have been in "redecorating mode for years," which has all but depleted both their savings and many of the carpet mills and wallpaper factories of New England.

On that note I'll close, though not without telling you that news about my source has been artfully woven into the above column without in any way compromising his or her wish for anonymity. 'Til next we talk.
