Did the entire class of 1986 go into hibernation this summer? Does not a single '86 want to admit to any newsworthy shennanigans? Judging by my empty mailbox, it was a slow, slow summer for news. After traveling for most of the summer I lack the cash and energy to dig up news, so this will be a brief article. In just a few moments you can get back to your needlepoint or reruns, or whatever it is you do for kicks.
The only needlework Dan Kollmorgen has time for is the human suture variety. He has spent the last four years at the University of lowa transforming himself into Dr. Kollmorgen. Now he is healing the sick in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah, where he is a resident in general surgery.
Lauren Geddes recently added "M.D." to her credit card and driver's license. She graduated from the Dartmouth-Brown medical school program and is a resident in pediatrics at Rhode Island Hospital, an affiliate of Brown University.
In a few short years Chandler Lindsley will be curing cows, horses, and other creatures of the earth. The care and nurture of beasts has long been a big part of Chandler's life (since graduation she has been a horse trainer, a horse show manager, the director of the equestrian division of a polo and hunt club, a veterinary assistant, and a lab technician at a veterinary lab), so the only real change will be the addition of a stethoscope to her cowboy boots and spurs. She is studying at Texas A&M.
Kendall Burney graduated from the University of Texas law school and is working for a law firm in Dallas.
Eric Allyn and Meg O'Connell '87 have moved to Skaneateles, N.Y., after Eric's graduation from the UVA business school.
