Sarah Katz is back at Columbia Law School for her second year after enjoying a summer job at a law firm in Boston. After the legendary grueling first year of school, Sarah says it is nice to be treated like a human being again now she gets theater tickets and other nice bonuses. Back in New York she'll be living in school housing for the next two years without the hassle of moving every semester. How many of you remember doing the "Controlled Storage shuffle" after every term, lugging gamey rolls of carpet and 200-pound trucks to Russell Sage?

On the other side of the law school game, Tracey Salmon graduated from Villanova in June and celebrated by taking the New York and Connecticut state bar exams. With that lovely experience behind her, she spent some time traveling and is now working in the hazardous waste litigation department of the law firm Rivkin, Radler on Long Island. (Or was that "hazardous litigation waste department?")

In May Tracey attended the wedding of Shawn Pennick to Todd Benton. The Bentons now live in Germany, where Todd is training as a fencer for the 1992 Summer Olympics. Michelle Wright was also at the ceremony, taking a brief break from her masters and Ph.D. studies in African and Afro-American studies. Also among the well-wishers was Laurie Lopes, who has received a fellowship in her M.B.A. program at Indiana University.

I heard from Jenn Tisdel recently, and I am amazed she had the time to write. After leaving her job at Bain Consulting in June, she flew to Khernisset, Morocco, to visit Peace Corps volunteer Liz McClintock '86. Jenn managed to pass through Fes, Casablanca, and Marrakech before flying off to Italy for three weeks of touring and even a cooking class! Next, she came back to Boston to find an apartment and windsurf for a day. That got boring, so she flew to Oregon to visit her family for a few days and hopped on the Inland Passage Ferry to Juneau, Alaska. To top it off, she spent some time salmon fishing in Washington before returning for classes at the Harvard Business School. Now that she has enough frequent flier miles to get to Pluto, Jenn has had to calm down and pay attention to her studies. Poor soul.

Back at Bain (I know I mentioned that somewhere), Mike Krupka has been promoted to consultant. Amy Pagliaro Ramsey has left Boston with her husband Tom. Tom has begun studying environmental engineering in North Carolina, and Amy is looking for a chance to use her skills as an accountant there.

I'd like to thank the folks who continue to keep in touch and encourage everyone else to drop me a line (like, "Hey, do you come here often?").
