Matt Rock died on March 7. He and Helen had recently sold their house and moved to Thurwood Place, a lovely retirement center in South Yarmouth, Mass. The Ben Staceys had moved in shortly after the Rocks and were able to help Helen. The Staceys, BillMagenau, and I attended a beautiful service conducted by Matt's family.
Matt was a talented woodworker, and his equipment, left at the center, is a fine memorial to him.

AtMatt's service a gracious Harvard man inquired about Dick Danforth and prompted my first talk with Dick in 60 years. It was a fine visit, and Dick sounds great. He'd recently talked with Phil May and was delighted that Phil's wit and humor are still great.

With passing years you wives and widows are more vital than ever to our class. Your recollections can brighten our memories, and your own doings are of real interest to us all. How I'd like to hear from you!
Your scribe is getting his nose into the College's latest distorted publicity on the suspension of a student. They so enjoy whatever's bad They may not know they're being had.
