Unfortunately, my main reason in writing is to let you know that I have little to write. I have received only one piece of mail about a '73 in the last month—and that from a '75 but I am saving that so that I can at least end this column on a positive note.

For my own part, life has been a nuthouse. Our Norwegian au pair left without warning to travel the U.S., forcing me to cash in a week of vacation to try and find someone unsentimental enough to move in with Strangers right before the holidays but warm enough to love my kids at least half as much as I do. As you can imagine, it has thus far been a no-win situation.

As a result, I only turned to my dialing for news approach at the eleventh hour and generally came up dry. I learned from Doug Redfern's mother that he and wife Greta are vacationing in Albequerque and that Doug is now with MIT Press here in Cambridge. DaveNichols has left Savannah, Ga., for "somewhere in Texas;" and John Wilson appears to have left Salt Lake City. Art Lehman, KenMcWilliams, Geoff Rogers, Joe Rideout,Paul Riddle, Mike McCarthy, and Steve Yamada all have callback messages which I hope they will follow up on before my next deadline.

Matt Dwyer '75 saved the day by sending along a magazine article from the September '91 issue of Lacrosse, responding to Tom Helfrich's request for news of Mitch Whiteley The article was billed as the "High School Wrap-Up for 1991" and included several paragraphs on St. Paul's School of Brooklandville, of the Maryland Scholastic Association "A" Conference title. The St. Paul Crusaders were led to their victorious season by Coach Mitch Whiteley and MSA scoring leader Tim Whiteley. Matt's color commentary went something like: "It doesn't seem like that long ago that Mitch's high-scoring son, Tim, was born. I hope he's on his way to becoming the first '73 legacy at Dartmouth." There are probably a few friends of Dartmouth Lacrosse who would agree with you, Matt. Thanks for the news!
