Here's to nostalgia. 35 years ago this coming September, we all arrived on campus ready to conquer the world some after a freshman trip, some from a freshman sport (yes, they did have sports way back then). Everyone was ready to pay the overwhelming tuition, board, and room of less that $1000 only a 2000% increase today!

The year began with our first Colby Junior mixer, and then the big weekend with honest to goodness women invited for the duration. At that time, our dates moved into a designated dorm with appropriate guards, gates, and even a dog or two protecting them. Today I might remind you that the dates may already be on campus but, in any event, they can move right into one's dorm and there will be no guards, gates, or dogs around, for that matter.

Now for some news of our classmates. Avery Allen, living in the garden spot of the midwest, Dayton, Ohio, continues his banking career and is currently president of the Hunting National Bank of Dayton. He lives with his wife, Jean, in Centerville, and they have three children. Debbie is married, has one child, and lives in North Carolina. Linda graduated from college in December on the same day her brother, Christopher, was married. Christopher works for Huffy in Detroit.

John Burkhardt and his wife, Beverly, have two children, Julianna and Andrew, and currently live in East Coventry Township, Chester County, Perm. John was recently named vice president of Urban Engineers Inc. (UEI) a Philadelphia based firm that provides planning, design, and construction management services. Congrats!

Ted Izzard has recendy been made a vice president of Bausch and Lomb in Rochester.

We also hear from Bill Colehower that he is president of Jomac, Inc., a Warrington, Penn., manufacturer of protective clothing and safety equipment, as well as printing products. They have eleven manufacturing plants throughout North America and license their technology in fourteen countries worldwide. Residing with Tina, his wife of 30 years, Bill has three children who live in Washington, Boston, and Nashville. Furthermore, Bill has recently been elected president of the European Printing and Machinery Manufacturers Association, which will give his company excellent international exposure.

See you. Don't forget to write!!!!
