REUNION! Our 35th is coming up June 12-15, 1995. John Ferries, our esteemed president, wrote that the executive committee met in New York in July, and the planning for our reunion is well underway. Doug Wise and his committee are putting together a terrific program, and they have adopted a class theme—"Getting Involved"—which captures the spirit of our new class mission: classmates participating in our class activities and our Dartmouth Project 59. Status and next steps were reviewed for the project. They include the formal establishment of a board, the assignment of specific responsibilities to board members, and the official launching. Our goal is to have several Dartmouth students in intern programs, supported by '59 classmate mentors, before June, and we expect to feature their experiences at the reunion. You will be hearing from Pres John.

Another item covered was the Class Alumni Fund for 1993-94. Organizational and publicity issues pertaining to the special reunion- year drive are about to be initiated. ChrisCundy and Charlie Pinkerton have worked very hard and successfully on this project. Thanks from all of us—you guys are great!

The committee re-confirmed our continuing commitment to the Presidential Scholars program in the hope that our class will sponsor four Dartmouth students in the program for the 1994-95 College year.

The nominating committee is now in place, and here is your opportunity to come forward and pickup the baton for the upcoming five-year term, which will begin at out reunion in 1995.

Some 40 classmates have died over the years, and we are extending an invitation to the widows to attend our reunion, and also inviting them to become involved in Dartmouth Project 59 and other class activities.

Mark Gates reports in from Palo Alto, Calif., telling us of his recent hospitalization for ventricle fibrillation. We sure hope you have the ticker under control now, Mark.

Alan Ziegler shared with us his marriage to Emily Neece, bringing her three children to join Alan's four. Sounds like a great family. Congratulations, Alan. We look forward to meeting your new bride.

The Shaws have spent this summer sailing the East Coast, and you will find the family at home on Useppa Island, Fla., after November 1.
