By the time you read this your class officers will have met in Hanover and following that gathering, I plan to provide you with various updates on people and future class programs. In the meantime, the mail has been very slow and I can only report on those noted below.
From "Chicago-land" we hear from JimPerry who has moved from sunny Florida to Northbrook, Illinois, where he serves as senior sales manager for the Allstate Insurance Company. His tasks include designing courses for their large force of agents and sales support people. Jim has also become very involved as chairman of the board of A Safe Place, a shelter for battered women and children. Jim and Sally are enjoying an empty nest now that their lovely daughters have graduated from college and gone out on their own.
As a follow-up to the recent acknowledgement in the '59 Line, an article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer highlights DaveRobinson's newly published book, SoHo Walls:Beyond the Graffiti: "This new book is the culmination of a decade of David's prowls with a camera in the former lower Manhattan manufacturing area that has blossomed as an art district." Following Dartmouth, Dave received an M.F.A. in African Studies from Boston University and a Ph.D. in education from Harvard.
This issue's final note concerns Bill "G"Long, our newsletter editor, who until recently served as a managing director for Russell Reynolds Associates Inc. in New York and in his prior life served as your class secretary. He has now established his own executive recruiting firm in Scarsdale, N.Y. The only negative is that he chose a Yalie for a partner. That's it for now! Please send info.
