IT'S A BOY! Yessiree, classmates and friends, Frederick Andrew Winchell '07 was bom February 19, 1991—all 8 pounds, 11 ounces of him. Andrew is one of a long line of FA. Winchells going back to my great-grandfather. Lou Ann and the baby are doing just fine; Elizabeth is still in shock from massive attention deprivation (M.A.D.) but she'll get over it, we hope. Before moving to the news, please note the new address and phone number made necessary by Andrew's arrival.

My attempt to locate '75 MIAs is bearing fruit. Tom Foley writes, "Tim Frey is alive and well and minting money by marketing municipal bonds and other legal niceties in a big law firm here in Philly. As for yours truly, in quick order, I finally got the law degree (Yale '82 with two years off for volunteer work in Belfast, Northern Ireland); spent four years in Washington, where I met and married fellow Philadelphian Michele McDonald; spent the last four years in Harrisburg and Philly working for Governor Bob Casey, and looking around for three sets of Godparents. We're 'four guys and a lady'—Thomas, Matt, and Andrew—and in a holding pattern. Whew! The full report on this MIA is: no bonfire, no vanities (left), just babies. Query: where are Paul Coady and Mitch Qlsen?"

From Darryl Sims: "I have been in Wilmington, Del., since 1982, after completing a graduate degree at the University of Michigan in school psychology. I am presently employed by a public school district, working in an alternative school for delinquent teenagers. In my 'spare time' I do some consulting for a job training program and an alcohol and drug clinic. I am also working (slowly) on a doctorate at Temple University. This summer I had the honor of being invited to make a presentation at an International Special Education Congress in Cardiff, Wales, about the program that I work in. I'll try to do the next update in less than 15 years. Thanks for the opportunity." Thank you, Darryl, for taking advantage of that opportunity.

Also responding to the call was Steve"Sarge" Sargent, who writes, "I guess I haven't done much communicating with class members recently. Believe it or not, I live in good old Hanover and my commute each day is a walk across campus from my home to Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. This will change, however, when we move to a brand new medical center two miles down the road in Lebanon this fall. I'm currendy an associate professor of clinical radiology at Dartmouth Medical School and director of the diagnostic radiology residency training program. I spend lots of time biking and skiing, now with my two kids, David 10 and Jocelyn 8. My wife, Tricia Singer '78, is in her third year at Dartmouth Medical School, so we are BUSY. I never thought that I'd enjoy Hanover more as a place to live and raise a family than I did as an undergraduate, but it's true. I'd love to hear from any classmates passing through town."

I was very sad to hear of the recent death of economics professor emeritus Greg Hines. He was the epitome of what a Dartmouth professor aspires to be: respected in his field, an excellent teacher, and a good friend. Greg was my thesis advisor senior year, frequent tennis opponent (he always won), and camping companion (each fall we would take a weeklong canoe trip on the Allegash or St. John river). His students shall miss him very much.
