Hi everyone! Winter is here and I'm looking for warm weather. Already it's been too cold for too long. I recendy saw Frances Wood, who was in the New York area visiting her mother. Frances is still working in Washington, D.C., for AES Corporation. After getting a master's from Stanford, she rejoined AES in their consulting/planning group. The core business of AES is developing and operating cogeneration plants. Frances mentioned that Sally and John "Paco" Spadaro are in Rhode Island, where John is working at Brown University's computer science center. The Spadaros have two children, Tyco (a boy) and Adena (a girl). Hope I got the spelling right.

Ellen Brout reports from sunny San Diego that she hopes to organize some type of get-together for '81s out that way. Ellen reports

that the limiting factor is "getting my act together." As work demands escalate, kids multiply, and demands on time come from everywhere, all of us are suffering from the same thing. Sprout, you're not alone.

Ellen has recendy moved to be coiporate packaging manager for Oracle Software, meaning that she creatively wraps the company's mainframebased software to be as appealing as possible. Cindy Greco Heir is also at Oracle Software (but I'm not sure what she's doing).

Ellen also shared news of Searl Vetter and husband Jules who had to leave Hong Kong on short notice and move to Sofia, Bulgaria. Apparently Searl, Jules, and baby Alessandra are learning how far American ingenuity can take them as they scramble to find good housing, restaurants (and food in general) and other things we take for granted here in the States.

Lisa Conti married Bob Thornton over a year ago in December 1990 (sorry for the late report). Lisa and Bob have bought a house in Portola Valley, Calif. Lisa founded her own pharmaceutical firm called Shaman Pharmaceutical. The company's name refers to a shaman, or a medicine man, and they focus on using plants and herbs to develop medicine.

Emily Neisloss Rosiman wrote to announce the birth of her daughter, Victoria Brooke, born on July 30. Emily and her husband, Peter, have another daughter, Allie. Congratulations!
