Many apologies for last month's blank space I was completely under water! Becky Randall told me if I ever missed a column she'd have my hide. (B.R., you know where to find me!) There is much recent news about more babies. Sorry, but it seems to be what everyone is doing these days (hope you're all having fun!).

Susan Murr writes that she had a baby girl last April. Rebecca Murr Elwin joins her brother Matthew 4. Susan and family live in Livingston, N.J., where she works in the corporate law department of a small insurance company.

Phillip Gildan and his wife Laurie are the proud parents of their first child, Tyler Ross Gildan. Tyler was born October 30 and weighed in at an impressive 9 pounds, 14 ounces. Phil is a shareholder in the law firm of Nason, Gildan, Yeager, Gerson and White in West Palm Beach.

Holly and Paul Becker have done it again! Baby Lindsay was born on Christmas Eve. Holly and Paul already have one daughter, Hilary Holly is still very happily employed at Laurenceville in New Jersey, where she does college counseling, admissions, and coaching. Paul is doing rehab as well as regularly tutoring middle school students at the Lewis Clinic.

Dave Edelson and his wife, Cindy, had their first baby, Charlotte, in September of last year. Dave noted, "Some people may not believe it, but it truly is the best thing that's happened to me."

Chuck Nordh off is currently the state director for U.S. Senator Slade Gorton of Washington (a Dartmouth '49, and I believe the only current Dartmouth grad in the Senate). Chuck lives out in Seattle with his wife and daughter Emily, and is expecting baby number two any minute.

In non-baby news, I ran into Peter Corren in some airport (passing through on the way to somewhere else). He is working for Henschel-Steinau Inc. in point-of-purchase advertising. Peter told me he was married last August. Congratulations! Peter has kept in touch with Scott Halsted, who is working in San Francisco for Morgan Stanley in their venture capital area. Scott and his wife have one baby who is about a year old.

David Holden is currently promoting his first book, a collection of stories titled This IsWhat Happens When You Don't Pay Attention. Dave has been living and writing in London, although the book reflects his "wonder bread" years in Cranford, N,J. Not one to rest on his laurels, Dave will be married this spring and will be focusing on getting the novel he is currently writing to the publisher.

Finally, Jon Goss and his wife, Maria, spent some time this fall in Budapest where they were in charge of organizing the International Seafood Conference.

Keep writing, calling, and getting in the news. Cheers.
