Larry Leavitt's grandson Tom Cheney was married February 1 in Boca Raton. Marian Abel and Frances Zahm told Larry the bride was lovely. The bridegroom was stunning. Tom is the youngest of four in his generation. His older sister is the co-author of As Monkeys See Us.

Great honor for our Radford Tanzer: a new "Radford C. Tanzer, M.D. Plastic and Oral Surgery Suite" has been established at the Dartmouth Medical School. Just inside the reception area stands a pair of clasped hands, cast in bronze, called "Hope and Confidence," the work of Dr. Burt Brent, created in tribute to Radford, his friend and mentor. Says Dartmouth Medicine, "Brent has been so inspired by Tanzer's work in external-ear reconstruction that he is now considered the world's leading authority on the subject."

Ellie Norris is taking a course with the Institute for Lifelong Education at Dartmouth (ILEAD): Drug and Alcohol Addiction. Ellie is very energetic, and this is her second course.

Bill Bunting reports that he and Kay visited Bob and Connie Pierce, who live 30 miles from Sarasota. Connie is holding her own but is rather feeble, and Bob has had oncology treatment for throat cancer. Conversation is difficult. Bill was approaching 89 in early February and is considering returning to Canada. He is the only '25er in Sarasota.

Honor to Terry and Mary McGaughan and a report from June Bryant and NortCanfield in the next column.

Memory of the Month: remember how Curt Abel accomplished his ends quietly, persuasively, and with dispatch, while some make a lot of commotion and accomplish little.
