I had a long conversation with Florence Stecher, who was celebrating her birthday that day. She is just as jubilant as ever. She went on at great length telling me how much she enjoys her children and grandchildren.
Thronton Wood died after a long illness. His widow writes of how much he enjoyed hearing about the class until the very end.
