Members of the class of 1921 will be pleased to hear that their classmate Franklin McDuffee is given his proper authorship of "Dartmouth Undying," which had been mistakenly credited in Dartmouth Life to Richard Hovey. The writer of the correcting letter, Francis Horn '30, President Emeritus of the University of Rhode Island, also says that many would like to see "Dartmouth Undying" as the alma mater.

Vance Clark writes, "Nowadays when I see on television all the skiers practicing for their upcoming attempts to win gold medals, I am reminded of the elementary skiing we enjoyed so much in college, when Dartmouth was the place where skiing was just getting started in this country. For example, one February a group of Outing Clubbers climbed Mount Washington. We skied up to the halfway house then changed to ice-creepers on which we climbed to the top and back down to the half-way house. There we donned the skis and headed down with poles between our legs, sitting on them with varying degrees of pressure, so the poles would dig for most satisfactory braking."
