William P. Fowler was honored last October by the Shakespeare Oxford Society at its annual meeting in Palm Beach, Fla., in a Citation of Recognition. It reads, "For the monumental job of researching the letters of Edward de Vere and presenting his original scholarship in the book ShakespeareRevealed in Oxford's Letters, for his past years as president of the Shakespeare Club of Boston, and his devotion to the Oxfordian cause, the Shakespeare Oxford Society presents its Lifetime Award to William Plumber Fowler."

Joseph Sobran, writing in the National Review, says of the book, "indispensable to anyone who takes a serious interest in the authorship question..."

Bill Fowler adds, "This is a national society of some 400 members. Mine was one of three citations awarded, the other two being to Charlton Ogburn of Beaufort, S.C., for his book The Mysterious William Shakespeare, and to Ruth Lloyd Miller and Minos D. Miller for three attractive republications: J. Thomas Looney's Shakespeare Identified, Eva Turner Clark's Hidden Allusions hi Shakespeare, and the first English anthology of poetry, A HundredSundrie Flowers.

1921 classmates will know that Bill Fowler is a retired lawyer and a recognized poet. He was president of the Shakespeare Club of Boston for 12 years prior to 1984.
