Billy Subin felt good. The weather was warm and sunny and the crew was racing on the river. The former coxswain went down to see and found himself out on the rippling water, reminiscing about his sweet youth. Nearing shore, unable to restrain his exuberance, he leaped Having lost a step, but not his sense of humor, Billy took a dip with his clothes on, going to unprecendented lengths to create excitement about our 1992-93" '63 reunion program. Bill, you see, is chairman of our 30th Reunion, June 14-17, and is also seeking interest in a Homecoming mini-reunion, Yale Weekend, Oct. 16-17. The Subs is anxiously seeking volunteers to help organize the program, so contact him at his law office at P.O. Box 313, 819 New Road at Jackson Avenue, Northfield, NJ 08225, (609) 645-7511.

When he's not jumping in the river, Bill Subin practices trial law in New Jersey. JerryUram practices real estate law in New York, making a name in commercial leasing. Jerry built and heads up an eight-lawyer real-estate department at Davis & Gilbert, a firm of 45 lawyers. A notable client is the Americas Tower, a one-million-square-foot building just opened by Kumagai Gumi Co. Jerry writes on lease negotiation and has taught at New York Law School. He is also on the board of St. Francis Friends of the Poor, a shelter for the sick and homeless. Son Michael is in public relations, and daughter Alison is a junior at Dartmouth.

Jerry's fraternity brother at Pi Lambda Phi, Mike Geller, opted to join Andrew Geller, the family shoe-import business, after Dartmouth. When that company was eventually sold, Mike put his experience to work for U.S. Shoe, where he headed Marx Newman, also an importer, and then served as vice president of Intershoe in New York. Now, after 30 years, Mike has left the shoe business and put his expertise to work for Workability Inc., a company which helps businesses and individuals become more effective through communication, organization, and discipline. Workability works one-on-one with clients and produces group seminars in the New York metropolitan area. If you can use some assistance for your organization or yourself, contact Mike at 211 Central Park West, Apt. 17-K, New York, NY 10024, (212) 362-3244.

Chris Wiedenmayer experienced navy and Columbia Business School before tackling his family business, Faber-Castell Corporation, the New Jersey pencil company He rose to become chairman and chief executive officer. This spring Chemical Bank New Jersey N.A. named Chris to its board of directors.

As a man who knows from mergers (he was CFO of Esmark when it was acquired by Beatrice), Geoff Murphy of Kenilworth, Ill, performed his own, merging his family by matrimony with the family of Karyn Dern, a lending officer at First Chicago. Though details have not been disclosed, highly placed sources say the new organization will include four children, two from each partner, and two dogs and two cats, most of the animals from the Murphy group.

Due in large part to Frank Wohl's reports, Mayor Dinkins said he would hire up to 20 managers and inspectors for New York's Fulton Fish Market, the largest seafood distribution center in the country. Frank, who monitored the racketeer-plagued market for four years for the Justice Department, ended his assignment this month.
