Received from the Dartmouth Football Cheerleaders: "We would like to thank you and the class of 1961 for your generous donation of $500. The funding you provided us with is greatly appreciated; we will now be able to travel to away games and bring the Dartmouth spirit with us. You have certainly helped to make this winning season something to cheer about."

Ken Kolb, whose daughter is a College cheerleader, made an impassioned plea for assistance during our October class meeting, and your classmates voted to give them the $500. I asked classmates on Dartmouth Night Weekend to write about what they've been doing, and many responded. Here is some of the news, with more to come next issue.

Bob Fuller: "Still having fun after six years on the Connecticut Superior Court. Expect a book on Connecticut land use to be published in the next two months."

Art Johnson: "Went on my first Alumni Continuing Education program last summer and enjoyed it immensely one week in Montana at Glacier National Park and surrounding areas with faculty members from Native American Studies and Geology."

Peter Palin: "Live in Boca Raton and work in Fort Lauderdale. Good golf, tennis, biking, water sports on weekends; trust and private banking on weekdays. Florida continues to be a retirement haven for the Northeast Corridor, even in these recessionary times. Business is good; better times are ahead, but one can only say it was great to be with so many '61s in Hartford, Vt., on October 17."

Mort Lynn: "Live in Longmeadow, Mass. Orthopedic surgeon and president of the medical staff at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield (the second largest hospital in Massachusetts). Two Dartmouth daughters."

David and Joani Prewitt: "Still living in the Philadelphia suburbs. All three daughters are finally through college. Joani is still active in residential real estate; Dave is a self-employed trial lawyer. Dave is retiring as a colonel in the Army Reserve."

Paul Gartner: "Still living in Chappaqua, N.Y., and practicing trusts and estates and cooperative apartment house law in New York City. My daughter Deborah graduated from Dartmouth in 1992, and my son Daniel is in the class of' 94 at Dartmouth."

Vic Rich: "Moved to Old Westbury, Long Island, with Pat, although I am still Alumni District Enrollment Director for Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland counties."

Roy and Varda Singer: "Thrilled to be back at this mini-reunion with the opportunity to introduce our daughter Kai '95 to our classmates. Roy, a psychiatrist in Westchester County, N.Y., and Varda, a local jeweler, have sung the praises of the College throughout Kai and her brothers' lives and are ecstatic that our daughter is enjoying the College as much as her old man did."

Bob and Judy Daly: "Have spent 21 years in Westford, Mass. Judy now a 'senior' teacher in local school system; Bob with Hewlett-Packard trying to help make the workstation business move forward. Our '89 daughter has turned traitor and started at Cornell Johnson School for a two-year stint. Son David is graduating Gettysburg College in the spring of '93."

Class Treasurer Ivar Jozus noticed an item in the Middletown (Conn.) Press: "Well-known author and lecturer John White will present a program on psychic exploration, which will include an introduction to the field of psychic research and describe major phenomena it studies, Monday, October 26 at 7 p.m. in the Hubbard room" (Middletown Library).
