As always, many '36ers spent the winter in Florida, while many others planned visits of varying lengths. Among the latter were Milt and Marge Johnston,Dede Foster, Bill and Stina Martens, Frank and Marge Curtis, Al Harrington, and Bill Niss. I understand that a very active Dartmouth group meets in Sarasota every other week during the winter, with usual attendance between 40 and 60 alumni, including a good representation from our class.
Pete Fitzherbert had an interesting time between Christmas and New Year's, when his household included four women: his sister and his daughter Nancy, who was visiting from England, and two granddaughters. Pete says he got plenty of advice on how to run the house. Sometime during the latter part of March Pete will be headed for a couple of weeks in Arizona, as will the Martindales.
Boyce and Betty Price had hoped to be in their new quarters in Vermont by now, but unexpected delays have postponed their move until late spring or early fall. Sounds vaguely familiar!
This is the time of year to remind you that the Alumni Fund is still counting on our support, and the sooner we send in our gifts or pledges, the easier it is for our agents to complete their assignments. Also, an early response reduces paperwork for everyone. Nuff said.
Reminders: Class Officers Weekend and our spring mini-reunion are set for May 7-8. As usual, a block of rooms has been reserved for the class at the Airport Economy Inn in West Lebanon. The '36 Lobster Lunch at Mystic is scheduled for Thursday, July 15, and there will be further information on this in an upcoming issue of Tithe.
On a sad note, George Tillinghast's wife, Marion, died of a heart attack last December. Our condolences to George and their children.
