In a mid-March phone conversation with Phyllis England, I learned that the Florida contingent, as usual, had a busy winter. They were expecting most of the participants in last fall's Greek tour to join a reunion at Harry and Rose Coronis's place at Burnt Store Marina. And a couple of days later, on St. Patrick's Day, Fred Babcock's Bash was expected to attract a great many '36ers. A few days after that the Dartmouth Club of Southwest Florida met in Naples. With Thaddeus Seymour as guest speaker, quite a few class members planned to attend. All of this is not exactly current news, but it gives you an idea of how active our southern group is.

In addition to the above-mentioned more or less formal events there were the usual warm weather activities, such as golf, boating, etc. Speaking of boating, Phyll England and Billand Stina Martens shared a Hunter 18' sailboat which they rented for two months, and it was conveniently tied up at Burnt Store Marina near Phyll's condo when not in use. In mid-April Phyllis planned to go to Seattle for a visit with family before returning to West Lebanon around May 1.

Harry and Rose Coronis are taking another trip in September and, while they are not in the travel business, they would be happy to have some other '36ers along on the tour. They will be flying from Boston to Rome on September 5. From there they go to Venice and Florence for two nights each, and back to Rome for three nights. From there they fly to Athens and start an Aegean Island Cruise on the 14th, returning to Athens on the 18th for three nights. They fly back to Boston on the 21st. The Coronis's tour to Greece last fall received rave reviews from those who participated, so if you think you might be interested in making this trip with seasoned travelers, contact Harry at 33 Sullivan Street, Nashua, NH 03 060 for further information, or call him at (813)575-0053.

A letter from George Hoke '35 informed that John O'Hare, not heard of for some time, is now living at 1580 Geary Road, Apt. 125, Walnut Creek, CA 94596

In a phone call to Dan Doan I learned that he had a stroke in January, but at this writing he apparently is recovering well, and, although he doesn't expect to be doing any strenuous hiking very soon, he's thinking positively about the future.

Two important dates: The Lobster Bake at Mystic Seaport is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21. And the fall mini-reunion will be September 18-19.

Finally, this is our last chance to remind you that the Alumni Fund drive for this year will be ending soon so, if you haven't mailed in your contribution yet, why not send it in today? I'm sure Bill Niss would like very much to make a good showing in his first year as head agent, so let's help him all we can.

That's it until August!
