With no new information from Twentyites to report, I do have a question aroused by last month's good message from Hilda (.Mrs. Kenneth) Spalding, part of the ongoing "Saga of the Senior Canes." Hilda gives the whereabouts of Ken's cane, and then writes of her own cane, mentioning "'200's 20th" in connection with it. 1 quoted her letter not sure myself whether she had acquired the cane at 1920's 20th Reunion, but assuming this to be the case. Our alert Notes editor. 1 leather killebrew '89, asks on the proof copy, "What does the reunion have to do with canes?" We were unable to attend Buds 20th, so it would be enlightening to hear more about it from Hilda and any others who. like her. have "lovely memories" of that occasion.
A .March 5 Alumni Records "next of kin" form reports the 1989 death of Joseph HillyerBrewer, with no data for an obituary. Olivet College is listed as the source of information.
