Classmates who were V-12s or V-5s at Dartmouth during WW II and who wish to participate in the reunion in (Hanover July 16-18 this year to mark the 1943 commencement of the program 50 years ago should phone Earl Chambers (401) 2723031, Joe Smith (603) 749-0640, or RonSpiers (802) 824-6482 for details. This should be a fun time.

Great to be in contact with Roy Wilson, one of several '48 retired captains of the USN who passed their active careers in the seagoingservice of Uncle Sam. The Wilsons now live in Pinehurst, but Roy, who says his blood used to be green, often thinks back on the Dartmouth he loved and which he used to serve enthusiastically as an alumnus. He also remembers those great days in 408 South Mass where he, Bill Campbell, Bob Neuburg, and Tom Huggins '49 were such close friends. Roy became disenchanted with Dartmouth some years ago, however, and turned away completely from all things Green. However, he recently decided to move back just enough to pay his '48 dues and at tire same time, perhaps, take a cautious look at his College on the Hill again. Too early to know if any reaction, but Eleazar will be pleased.

Pete Swinscoe, a V-12 in Hanover who came back in 1946 and roomed one year with Tom Rafferty at 20-1/2 West Wheelock, has 50th Anniversary Celebration, July 16-18

also been active. He has spent most of his career doing PR work out of his home in Fort Lauderdale under cover of his company, Total Concepts Inc., and is presently involved in the successful expansion of Mervyns Stores in South Florida. He remembers working on the hospital ship Project Hope as it went to Vietnam and South America years ago, and also the two years he spent sailing around the Caribbean in his own boat with Rebecca and their two small kids. Pete still loves the unusual, still does much freelance writing, and doesn't sound ready to retire. Said he enjoyed his phone contact with Bob Douglas of Houston a year ago when Bob passed through.

The sudden, unexpected death of lifelong friend Harry Shaw in Palmdale in February made Lloyd Krumm think back on some of their good times as students in Hanover. He recalls how one semester in 1947 he and Harry and Bob Foster ate regularly in a side room of Thayer Hall at a table that literally became their own, probably reserved for them by the late Janette Gill who ran dining for the College in those days. He recalls, too, visiting Harry some evenings in his room at the Theta Delt House opposite Phi Gam, then shortcutting back in the darkness through College Cemetery behind Mass Row to his Gold Coast room in Streeter. Lloyd swears he sometimes encountered the ghostly form of Eleazar returning to his resting place after a midnight tour around his campus. Lloyd asks other friends of Harry to join him in contributing to die nursing scholarship established in Harry's memory at Antelope Valley Community College. Your gift should go to Dr. Alan Kirke, 3041 West Avenue K, Lancaster, CA 93534.
