Can you believe that it has been almost a year since we graduated? It seems like just yesterday that I was a UGA, and now my 'shmen are about to become seniors. Just to make you feel a bit older, I have our first (post-grad) birth announcement. Just after midnight on March 6, Mike Helton and his wife, Melissa, were blessed with the arrival of Jaclyn Kathleen Helton, class of 2015. On behalf of our class, I extend my heartiest congratulations without the slightest bit of jealousy. Mike is doing research at the Biology Department at Dartmouth, and will head down to the University of Tennessee for medical school next year.

Alike wrote that J esse Bradley and TommyClark spent last fall in Zimbabwe playing professional soccer. Unfortunately, Jesse had to return to the States after being stricken by a mysterious illness, and is quickly recovering at home in California.

Brett Buatti writes from Hanover, where he is working towards his master's in engi- neering at Thayer. Brett frequently sees DaveHandron, who is getting his master's in math, and Dennis Webster, who is getting his B.E. at Thayer. Tom Clougherty is also finishing up his degree at Thayer.

"As for other '925," Brett writes, "ClemChun works at Lockheed Sanders in Nashua, N.H; Phil Youker teaches physics at Choate; Andy Rotenberg is studying law at Chicago, and Pete DeBalli is in med school at Penn."

Jill Goldberg claims that she is the only '92 in Binghamton, N.Y., where she is enrolled in graduate school at SUNY. Jill reports that Sarah Sommer is working on her master's in special education at Loyola in Baltimore.

I have a lot of news from the West Coast. Becky Johnson writes from the heart of Hollywood, where she works for Business Week. She also volunteers in the Natural Resource Defense Council's media department in Los Angeles and is taking business classes at UCLA. Over Thanksgiving Becky saw Steven Weitzman, who works for Chevron in California.

I received an information-packed letter from Jill Ludke and Jeff Dixon, who are living in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. The two made their way across the country after graduation, and, among other mishaps, lived through poison oak, floods, grizzly bears, and two lightning strikes. Jill now lives with Steph AuWerter, and Jeff lives with David Friedman. Jeff re- ports that Ben Hudnut is trying to break into the film world; Bill Curtis attends Hastings Law School; Christine Ball works for an advertising agency; Ellen Yu is at grad school at Stanford; Kendra Gaither is getting her master's in education at Stanford; and JoeBizarro and George Benz are living to- gether in nearby Cupertino. Unfortunately, I do not have enough space to include the rest of the news in their letter this month. I'll bet the suspense is killing you.

Alixjeong also writes from San Francisco, where she works for the Oracle Corporation, a computer-software company. Alix frequendy sees Whitney Allen and Elaine Anderson.Ben Saunders lives in Northern California too. He spent the winter working at a bedand-breakfast on the slopes near Lake Tahoe. Ben would like to hear from more ski bums, who, he says, are living the life "that investment bankers in New York only dream about."

On a sad note, I am sorry to report a death in our class. Julian Bradish died on February 12 in Burlington, Vt. An obituary will appear in a future issue of the magazine. Take care and keep in touch,
