I'm still catching up on mail I received in January. Don't be daunted by the delay in printing; I promise that I will eventually report on all news I receive. By the way, note that my address has changed, although I'm still the greater Boston area.
Ali Ward and Courtney Dickinson moved to Boston in January. Boston is, as Courtney put it, "the city to be in on the East Coast the one with quality of life." When I last heard from Courtney, she had just been given her first commission to do a piece of art work.
Peter Evanovich is a staff assistant for Senator Bill Cohen of Maine. Peter will handle economic and legal issues. Jon Kohl writes that "Dan Petit is studying musicology at the University of Pennsylvania.'" Rob Koreman writes from Aliami, Fla., where he is living at home and flving charter planes to the Bahamas for Gulfstream International. He plans to move to Dallas before long to be a flight instructor.
Cynthia Donaldson works for the chairman of the board at The Washington Post Company and lives with Debbie Gartner in Arlington, Va.
Josh Stein wrote in with an update of his life since graduation. Josh went into active duty in the army on Class Day, and reported for duty to the Military Intelligence Officers' Basic Course on June 19, 1992. After seven months of training at Fort Huachuca (gesundheit), Ariz., he was sent to Fulda, Germany, with the 11 th Armored Calvary Regiment. Josh reports on his friends in New York City: Tom Butler and John Kim are doing well as paralegals; Steve Blumenreich is working horrendous hours (and loving it) as a financial whiz kid; and Doug Miniati and Raj Shah are in nied school.
Lil Guerra wrote from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she was finishing up a year-long study on Puerto Rican national identity. Lil is now in Madison, Wise., working towards her Ph.D in Latin American and Caribbean history. She and Kevin Lewis '91 were engaged in November and plan to marry in two years.
Jack Ko writes from Worcester, Mass., where he and Kristen Healy are enrolled at U-Mass Med School and also teach AIDS awareness at a local high school. Jack reports that Rob Lussky and Michelle Couture are finishing up their engineering degrees at Thayer and are living with Melissa Stamp, who works for the geography department. Dan Farber spent the year as an au pair in France before returning to the States for med school at the University of Maryland. Jen Burnaford just left for Borneo, Indonesia, to study orangutans, while Anne-Corinne Beaver is in Belize doing community-medicine work before starting med school at the University of Tennessee. Scott Miller is working as a deckhand on a boat that will eventually dock in the Fiji Islands.
I bumped into Ben Schuler on his way to CES in June. Ben just returned from a trip around the world with a friend from high school, and he strongly recommends visiting New Zealand. Cathleen Caron reports that Andre Gauri is traveling around Europe before beginning med school at the University of Chicago. Cathleen is looking for a job in Boston, where she is planning to live with Hope Worrell. .Meredith Benedict is a paralegal in Boston at Bingham, Dana & Gould.
