The environmental law firm Greg McGregor founded in Boston, McGregor & Shea, remains, according to Greg, "the busiest and best in New England." And Greg still fills his weekends with skiing, hiking, biking, windsurfing, and scuba diving, presumably not all at the same time. But things might well be changing. Greg is marrying Sharon Dean this June. She, too, is an environmental activist, currently serving as director of water policy and planning for the Massachusetts secretary of environmental affairs.

For the past 23 years Bob MacCarty has been working at the famed Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where he serves as a consultant in diagnostic radiology, specializing in gastrointestinal radiology. He was recently promoted to fall professor at the Mayo Medical School and was also elected a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Gretchen is an interior designer in Rochester. Francie's a junior resource-conservation major at the University of Montana, and Rob's a senior at Mayo High.

The Amazing Grews continue to wander the globe in the name of science, the pursuit of the unknown, and to farther the study of geology. From his base at the University of Maine, Ed has recently been working in Austria and Germany, particularly on the mineral kornerpine, on which Ed is one of the recognized experts. Priscilla has moved from the Minnesota Geological Survey to become the vice chancellor for research at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a school quite active (believe it or not) in a National Science Foundation polar ice-coring project in Greenland.

But you might not have known that BobCohn has completed his third year as president and publisher of Horticulture magazine, or that he's president of the Tuck Alumni Club of Boston, on the board of Boston Business Clubs, and a member of the MPA Small Magazine Advisory Council.

Hector Motroni, head of corporate quality and organization effectiveness at Xerox, has recently been elected a corporate vice president. Hector joined Xerox in 1971 after earning his master's in engineering from Thayer. He spent most of his career in the Xerox Latin American Group before assuming worldwide responsibilities in 1991.

Jack Christ directs the leadership studies program at Wisconsin's Ripon College.

I'm very proud to announce that my older daughter, Maggie, was accepted to Dartmouth in April. As of now, I have no idea if she'll actually be going to Hanover. I'm only the father. Stay tuned, and we'll both find out.

Any news from your house? Pass it along to caring old friends.
