By now the results of November's election should be in. And while there is no such thing as a sure thing, the chances are the governor of Maine is still named King. Gus was so far ahead in the polls that the Maine Sunday Telegram said his "can't-lose image kept potentially credible opponents out of the race and put the brakes on campaign contributions to those candidates who did emerge." Gus was further buoyed by a flattering interview in The WallStreet Journal about Maine's economic vitality. Less certain is the fate of Eric Treisman Santa Fe lawyer and tireless supporter of liberal causes, who had been running for New Mexico's 3rd congressional district seat.

At least two class of '66 kids can be found in the new Dartmouth class of 2002 (can that be right??). Noel Fidel reports that his son, Nathan, a swimmer, and Jim Makol's daughter, Victoria, are both striding regularly across the Green. Noel and Anne have Louis home one more year and then will have to rely on Alexander, 10, for computer troubleshooting.

Tom Brady runs two successful businesses in Betsy has a lovely, understanding wife, and dotes on his three great children. But what does he value most of all? Could well be his Shelby Cobra. Built from scratch on weekends and free evenings, Tom estimates that he put at least 2,000 hours into the car, as well as a rebuilt 365 horsepower Ford 351 engine and an old-style four-barrel carburetor. t's tided, licensed, and goes zero to 60 in 4.7 seconds. Tom had so much fun he's putting an eight (yep) car garage into his new house, complete with shop and hydraulic lift. A 1952 Jaguar XK 120 is next.

Both of Tom's Toledo, Ohio-based companies are also humming along, thank you. Plastic Technologies is an $8 million plastic packaging R&D company, and Phoenix Technologies is now the world's largest supplier of recycled PET for use in plastic container manufacture.

The children: Kathy a VP at Key Bank, will earn, along with her husband, an M.B.A. this winter; Cindy works for the United Nations in Vienna; and Rick is a sophomore starting point guard for Denison.

It is with deep regret that we acknowledge the deaths of two classmates this year-william Kruger and Peter Helwig—and pass along our sympathies to their families and friends.

May the holidays find you and yours in fine health and high spirits.
