ORT Hicks '21 and his wife, Lois, who have lived in Hanover for 35 years, recently were awarded the town's Boston Post cane for being the town's oldest resident couple. The 94-year-old one-time movie executive, who served for eight years as the College's first administrative vice president, resides with his 95-year-old wife in Kendal at Hanover, the retirement community. Back in 1906, when the Hickses were toddlers, the Boston Post presented 700 special canes to towns all over New England, for each town's eldest elder and succeeding oldest living inhabitants.
