WHEN I WAS walking up to accept my diploma at graduation I happened to pass by the side where three great professors were sitting next to each other. I heard someone whisper my name. As I looked over, history professor Mary Kelley, English professor Linda Boose, and religion professor Nancy Frankenberry all waved to me. It was such a nice way to end. I suddenly felt less like a student, more like I belonged in the ranks of the learned.
