"Wouldn't it be great if we got just one more newsletter before reunion!" Burgie Howard
First things first. I get a lot of letters from classmates asking me for others' e-mail addresses. I propose the following: an alumni e-mail address book! E-mail me at , and I will start collecting your addresses. When I have a good number of them, I will e-mail you back a listing. I will update it as I receive others. (And I will accept addresses from non-'86s too!) One more Internet item: you can receive information on alumni and Dartmouth and its sports teams by subscribing to the electronic newsletter AJumNet. To get on the list e-mail and include some information about yourself.
Michael Upton writes that he had some trouble e-mailing me but finally got it together. He graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School last May and is doing a psychiatry residency at Dartmouth. He bought a house in Norwich and feels good about being back. He even attended last fall's bonfire and watched the Green defeat Yale the next day. He also reports that AmyMcCormick Peterson is living with her husband, Chris, in Georgia and is pursuing an advanced degree in social work.
I ran into another future doctor in our midst: Brian Dunham, who is a medical student at Stanford. His wife is a pediatric intern. GeoffParker was in die San Francisco Bay Area for Christmas with his wife and son Sam. Geoff works for Goldman Sachs in New York. And I bumped into Anne Weinhardt and her husband in an elevator in San Francisco—also on a Christmas holiday visit. Anne was difficult to miss as she is pregnant with twins due in May.
Burgie Howard is working on a master's in education at Stanford this year. He lives on campus with his significant other, Gabrielle. Burgie hopes to become a dean of students one day, but until then he pursues lacrosse, education, and the good life in sunny Palo Alto. Sally Gorman is engaged to be married this summer. She and her fiance, Mike, live in Redwood City, Calif.
OK, don't forget to e-mail me your address and get in touch with some of those long-lost friends the easy way!
