77 I received all kinds of items in the mailbag this month. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the correspondence. One reference to a classmate came from the editorial pages of the San Francisco Chronicle. It seems the notorious Jeff Gillooly (of Tonya Harding fame) was released from prison last month and in an attempt to start a new life, adopted the name Jeff Stone. A number of responsible Jeff Stones out there (including the actor who played the role on the Donna Reed show) challenged the decision to no avail. The closest our classmate JeffStone ever came to such a dirty deed was taking the knees out from under me in a hotly contested AD fraternity election. It may be too late, Jeff, but you might register your complaint with the Multnomah County Court in Oregon.

By the way, the Chronicle is run by Helena Sias's dad. This item, the rain, and O.J. were about all there was to report on out here these past few months.

John Storella informed me that he's moved from America's finest city, San Diego, "to the more sensible San Francisco Bay area." Check out winter-in-summer weather, city streets like amusement park rides, the Exotic Erotic Ball, or the Bay to Breakers race if you think it's sensible around here. John is practicing law in Palo Alto and lives a half mile from his freshman roommate Peter Mills.

A bunch of classmates enjoyed a ski weekend this winter in Alta. Jeff McKee wrote that he, Peter Bernard, Cort Delaney, AndySherman, Bob End, lan McCullough, and Don Rendell '78 schussed and schwartzed their way through a couple great days together. He also mentioned he was expecting RobBagbey to roll through the "City of Brotherly Shove" later this spring. It sounds like the bonds of Phi Delt brotherhood are still strong.

GNP The gross national product grows, like, summer leaves on trees, bonds at full maturity. They flutter and flirt with me as they blow in the breeze, knowing the secret of success awaits anxious graduates. Three men live on my street at home, Dartmouth Alumni all of them. They shout wa-hoo-wa at me, and smile, waving. The beetles feed on the rich money bills, that the branches let loose, and I turn away. (1976)
