1921

Now that we of 1921 are reading of our young cocitizens on military duty abroad, we think back to our own service some 78 years ago.

We had two groups, those of draft age, and those not quite that old. The latter group was led by our own Ort Hicks. The slightly older other group was in that segment of the army, about which we spoke of as "SATC." It was under the guidance of Max Patterson, major, U.S. Army.

But shortly, the armistice ended our military duties, and we returned as freshmen.
