Thanks to great help from my family I am now settled in my new quarters at Ocean View in Falmouth, Maine. It's as comfortable, friendly and busy here as I thought it would be, so I look forward to a long, enjoyable stay.

Had a call from Bill Niss, who has a granddaughter in Georgia whose husband recendy returned from service in Iraq. He is now (mid-April) in the California desert for more training, and maybe sent back to Iraq. This is the kind of news that brings home the seriousness of our involvement over there.

Dick Treadway reports he had a broken hip last October. He must have had a quick recovery because he also mentioned a delightful Christmas in Antigua. And he sends an "enthusiastic greeting to all remaining members of the class."

Back in April Boyce Price attended a Dartmouth Film Society tribute to Budd Schulberg. There was about an hour program of slides, film, etc. covering Budds major accomplishments. This was followed by another hour or so of questions for Budd. Boyce said he thought Budd looked good and seemed to be in excellent spirits.

Red Riley had a stroke in 1997 but still gets around with an electric cart and cane. He is now living in a retirement resort in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, near a daughter. He says he wishes he "lived closer to a fellow survivor or two."

John Ovitz retired in 1999 after 60 years in general practice of medicine, including five plus in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. He and wife Jane enjoy good health and both keep busy with varying activities. John earlier in the year celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends in "a long week of celebration."

Speaking of celebrations, happy Fourth of July to you all !
