(Note: Due to length Imitations, 25th Reunion Class Notes will be in two parts, to be concluded in next month's issue.) The 25th has come and gone, but the memories and the impact continue still.

By all accounts I've heard, the Reunion was a resounding success; from the Storrs Pond picnic to Pilobolus, the 10-K run and golf tournament to the Bema dinner, from the high tech symposia to the great rock 'n' roll disc jockey and dancing on Saturday night, a ball was had by all.

It was wonderful, also, that we could cap the Reunion with our presentation to President Freedman at Saturday night's dinner of a check to the Alumni Fund for more than $1.35 million. Adds Bob Lider, "This is the largest cash-in amount ever raised by a 25th Reunion class. More significantly, more than $4 million was generously contributed by our class to three separate fund-raising drives: the capital campaign, the Blackmun Fund, and the Alumni Fund, all of which were waged during our 25 th Reunion year. No class has supported Dartmouth more financially on the occasion of its 25 th Reunion. We should be proud of this record-breaking achievement."

According to Greg Fell, "A great weekend it was; the 'tone' was just right. Time for activities, and time to just talk to people and catch up. We all continue to learn a lot, don't we? A big change from 25 years ago when we thought we knew it all." And from Mickey " Stuart, "Reunion: Wonderful! Great to see so many old friends. The weather was ideal. The kid's program was wonderful my eight year old daughter Kitty had a ball!" And Donny O'Neill 6 would second that, along with his new pals James FitzPatrick 5 and Jamie Maynard 6.

Sam Cuddeback "was thrilled that my daughter's first visit to Dartmouth was so much fun. The junior tent was a special place, and the ice cream pop ups at Thayer a special treat. Enjoyed long awaited visits with Charley Silcox, Don Sweeney,Randy Quayle, and Rick Carleton (and their families) and, also, delightfully, we made some new friends. The yearbook is a treasure."

Bruce Tepper: "The highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to see people we had not seen in five, ten, or even 25 years. The Freedman talk was reassuring. The Reunion book was also marvelous." Don Sweeney: "Absolutely terrific weekend and an outstanding Reunion book!"

Jack Burnett "started out up at Moosilauke and many thanks to DaveEdson for organizing that. Had a great meal Wednesday evening and then squaredanced to a great old local caller and his 78s. Spent the night in the same bunkroom as the Swensons and the Sprinkles. Wives referred to it as the Den of Snores. Should have noted the omen potential of the Sprinkles, as Thursday were caught near the treeline of Moosilauke when the fog, lightning, hail, and torrential downpour blew in. Carried raingear to no availsome stuff still drying out." Wayne Hobin also made the trek, joining the first group to reach the top on Thursday morning along with Malcolm Jones, TimDreisback, George Rountree, SteveBrockway, and Kevin Swensen (and assorted spice, guests, and kids). Wayne says he and "Steve Hoverman were the only '71s to show at the Reunion Row. We set up an eight with '66s and '61s. Of course we got to row against the '91s and '86s. Surprisingly, we geezers held off the young bucks for 500 meters but then age reared its head and we limped over the finish dead last."

(Tune in next month for the conclusion of Reunion Class Notes!)
