There's lots of news to cover, so let's get started. Lenora Boney writes from Tokyo, where she's lived for the past two years, teaching English to "engineers, housewives, high school students, and even three year olds." Shortly after her move to Asia, Lenora bumped into MeganEliassen in a restaurant in Bangkok. (Incidentally, Megan is now at UMass Med School in Worcester.) Lenora also reports that Sandra King is engaged to Eric Ponichtera, and they plan a November wedding. Speaking of weddings, Kim Fahey and Tucker Brown are planning their June 1997 wedding. Kim will start medical school at Columbia this fall, and Tucker is a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs.
The news on Vania Grandi is that she lives in Rome and travels the world writing for the Associated Press. Vania, who never strays too far from the ski slopes, covered the Alpine World Championships last year and has covered World Cup races all over Europe. In other international news, Tandiwe King just finished a one-year teaching assignment in Kenya, where she taught history at a girls' boarding school, and Jeremy Howick writes from Oxford University, where he is doing graduate work and rows with the Oxford crew.
Carrie (Geren) Round, who married John Round after graduation, works for Vision Financial Corp.in Keene, N.H, as an actuarial associate. Carrie and John live in East Swanzey, N.H.
After finishing law school at the University of South Carolina, Warren Curtis joined the Sumter, S.C., law firm of Weinberg, Brown, and McMillan.
Chris Frey is enjoying his study of historic preservation at UPenn. He conducts research on the architectural conservation concerns of two Frank Lloyd Wright houses, and spent some time in San Francisco doing site analyses. Chris keeps in touch with Plalet "Skip" Murphy, who just finished business school at Yale, and Tom Stiska, who works for Ernst & Young in San Francisco.
Josh and Jennifer (Villers) Nelson are parents for the third time. Rachel was born in February, and joins her brothers Jonathan and Benjamin.Jennifer works for Dartmouth's library system.
Avanish Bhavsar writes from Harvard Business School, where he's about to start his sec ond year. Avanish reports that Bob Delise also lives in Boston, and recently visited Tim Keohane in Hong Kong.
Holly Johnson reported on Match Day for most of the doctors in our class. Holly, who recently became engaged to Ross Colt (DMS '94), will be the resident pediatrician at Seattle Children's Hospital. Adrianna Bravo will do pediatrics at Johns Hopkins. John Tenbrook will also be at Johns Hopkins, in internal medicine. Bonnie Hartmann (soon to be HartmannCouture) will stay in Hanover, doing internal medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock. Gary Davis will do family practice with the Puget Sound Naval Hospital. KathyWeigle will be in Chicago doing rehab medicine. Holly also reports that MichelleBeaulieu works for Bayer in Connecticut, liana Shulman finished law school, KellieHouston still lives in NYC, and NancyBacchieri moved to Dallas after Stanford Business School. Julie Cusick is living in Philly and planning her September wedding, Kari Reuter is in med school and got married in May, SubithaSubramaniam and Justin Snyder will marry this month in Ashland, Mass. Walter Florence starts business school at Kellogg this fall. Holly also passed on news from Carina Wong, who just started a new job with a communications management firm called Robinson, Lerer, Sawyer, Miller, where Carina works on everything from promoting CBS movies and increasing Showtime's audience to raising the female voter turnout for the presidential election.
