No dimpled chads or dodgey recounts for Mike'Capuano, who ran unopposed for re-election to his 8th Congressional District seat in Boston. Boston Magazine recently described Mike as the "best hope for a Massachusetts politician to remain viable on the national stage." Also running for office is Ben Wilson, an environmental law specialist and partner at the Washington law firm of Beveridge and Diamond. Ben is one of three candidates nominated by the Alumni Council for the alumni trustee seat opening in June 2001. National mail-in balloting begins in March and features a new option to vote via the Internet. Ben is a Harvard Law graduate, a local enrollment interviewer and active on several civic and professional boards. Ben and wife Merinda live in northwest Washington.

Enrollment interviewing is a greatway to stay in touch with the College and your local alumni club. I was able to improve my own enrollment "win-loss" record after interviewing Fred Skillern's nephew Dan Correa, who was accepted for early admission to the class of 2004 and will join his brother Ben '03, already in Hanover as a first-year student.

In Oneonta, New York, Steve Stetsons Hartwick College Hawks football team finished their fifth straight winning season (7-4) after falling 43-20 to Buffalo State in the ECAC Northwest Championship game last November. Steve's coaching record at Hartwick during the past six seasons now stands at 51-34-1. Sue Stetson remains undefeated in the Stetson household and as business manager at Hartwick.

Our sympathies go out to the family of Emil Mosbacher 111, who died last November. His obituary will appear in a future issue.

In Burlington, Massachusetts, News Edge Corp., a leading syndicator of e-content and global news services, announced the appointment of Lee Phillips as vice president for product and content management. He has a graduate degree from the University of Michigan and is also a director of Writeread.com, an online community for writers. Lee and wife Liz reside in Wellesley.

Fred Frawley, a member of the Portland, Maine, law firm of Preti, Flaherty, Beliveau, Pachios & Haley, LLC, has been designated to serve as an arbitrator of domain name disputes under the Internet Corporation for Assignment of Names and Numbers dispute resolution policies through the online dispute resolution organization eResolution. He is a trademark law expert and lives with spouse Polly in North Yarmouth, Maine.

Attorney Bill Greenbaum is moving from the Warner-Lambert division of Pfizer Inc. to become a partner in the law firm of Wolf Block Schorr & Solis-Cohen, LLP, of New York and Newark. He is a labor and employment law specialist and lives in Morris Plains, Newjersey, with wife Elyse.

Kevin O'Shea, an attorney and the director of the Elmira (New York) City School District, and wife Judy have three daughters. Mollie is a sophomore at Niagara University. Margaret is a junior in high school. Tara is in seventh grade and plays travel soccer. Judy, also an attorney, is an elected state trial court judge. You can call her "Judge" or you can call her "Judy" but don't ever call her "Judge Judy" without risking a contempt citation.

Don't make me find you in contempt for not sending some news about you or a classmate. These Class Notes are adjourned until next time.
