By the time you read this it will all be really old news, but as I write this things in the Upper Valley are very exciting. That's right, Andrew Cunanan has allegedly been seen in West Lebanon! This, of course, has everybody in the Upper Valley in a tizzy. Marianne Bocock, who happens to date my roommate Brian here in Hanover, is asking to stay over even though Brian is out of town. Uh, Marianne, his victims are all men! In any case, this has led my twisted mind to try and come up with something wild and wacky to do with it. I thought about a Cunanan Look-alike contest using the photos in our Over The Hill book, but figured someone might be offended (that seemed to be a recurring theme when I wrote the Fortnightly sports columns during our illustrious undergraduate days, so why change now?). With that said, let us press on with news.

Speaking of Marianne, she has finally decided to get out of the Upper Valley, completing her thesis and getting a master's degree out of Dartmouth's MALS program. She is teaching and coaching at the Wheeler School in Providence this year. Another '92 who refuses to leave (besides me) is Tori Storm, whom I met at a party in August and was embarrassed to learn she was a classmate (don't you hate it when that happens?). She is also in the MALS program.

Had a nice day together with SarahPettus, who was teaching Chinese at Phillips Exeter Academy this summer. She spent the past year in China and Australia and will be at Berkeley this year working on a master's degree.

Spent a weekend in nearby Rumney, N.H., visiting Whitney Allen at her family's summer place on Lake Stinson. Whitney (and her mother's brownies) was a most excellent host, accomodating not only myself but fellow '92s JulieKenerson, Lou Bregou, Jill Blumberg (Lou's wife...or is Lou Jill's husband?), and Todd Gorman. We talked that weekend with Ann Pieper, half of the Dynamic Trout-or-Close-to-Trout Duo that now lives in San Diego (Shelly Bennett being the other). Elizabeth Terry, who lives in Boston with Whitney and Julie, was a no- show, opting out for the comforts of Cape Cod.

And since it is summer still, this notes section would not be complete without mention of at least one Dartmouth '92 nuptial. I attended the wedding of JohnDavi to Alyssa Duclos (a non- Dartmouthite) in mid-August which was attended by several '92s, and one of the highlights of the ceremony was a stirring duet by former Aires Ben Crawford and his brother, Rob '9O. Ben recently returned from a summer abroad in Greece working as a leader for the America Farm School program based in New York City, and as he returns from Europe Justin Snyder heads over to begin working as a corporate banker in Zurich. He will be joining his wife, Subitha Subramaniam, who went over in early August to start work at the same firm. Others in attendance included Tom Brodie, who lives in New York with Ben and works in New Jersey; EricVratimos, who is in Chicago at Mercer Management; Brett Kelleran, who is working in San Francisco this summer after finishing his first year at UCLA business school; and Paru Mital, who took the bar recently (along with several classmates, I would assume) and is preparing to join his father in the real-estate business in Detroit.

All right, now you've heard me talk about MY summer and what I did with all MY friends. Write to me, and tell me what you did with all YOUR friends!
