Following the philosophy that it is better to be brief than not to be at all, Gregg Hofimeister () offersthis contribution: "I have been working at Spaulding & Slye, a Boston-based commercial real-estate services firm, as a commercial realestate broker for the past two years. I am in constant contact with many fellow '93s: JasonKissell, who is in product marketing with Tideist and Footjoy Worldwide; Joe Tosone, who works for a professional recruiting company in Wellesley, Mass.; John Conley, who is in his second year at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; Alike O'Marra, who works for a law firm in New York City; AlexGayer, who married his high-school sweetheart and has finished his second year at Fordham Law School; Michael Chamberlain, who is an institutional trader with Prudential Securities in New York and is engaged to Shelby Meyercord; Andrew Faulkner, who got married to Deb Trapoldi '91 and has finished his second year at the JFK School of Government.'
In cleaning out the mail bag (actually scraping the barren walls, hoping to find even the briefest nugget of information) I came across an old postcard from AdamLeader. As of February Adam had abandoned his software job in New York City and fled to New Zealand, to hike in Fiordland Park. "I was blessed with clear blue skies and warm breezes for the Milford and Routeblan Tracks. It's even more spectacular than I imagined. I'll spend another few weeks here, then explore the rest of New Zealand's south island for a few months." Jon Eburne has cast aside his promising career as a Ph.D. candidate in comparative literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Jon has instead decided to follow his dream of writing the mushy interior of Hallmark greeting cards. "It's a passion I've had my entire life. I love those little sayings and, heck, I'm good at being sappy." Before embarking on his freelance cardcomposing career, Jon traveled to Graceland to offer his respects to the King on the anniversary of his death. Jon rode on the back of his girlfriend's Harley on the round-trip from Philadelphia to Memphis. He paid for the trip by crooning to roadside diner patrons with his best Elvis imitation. The culmination of the trip was a thirdplace Elvis performance at Graceland; this showing was good enough to earn him an automatic entry in next year's competition. Keep your eyes peeled for Disney's upcoming dramatization of Where's Waldo? RaoulPosraentier was awarded the lead role in the dramatization of this childhood classic. According to Raoul, "It won't be easy to find me, the sets are really complicated. It's not easy being the star of the show when the star is supposed to be nearly impossible to find.".The movie is slated to be released around Thanksgiving, to capture the holiday theater-going crowd. Preliminary plans are already in the works for a sequel; their completion depends on our patronage!
Please keep the letters rolling and please keep your eyes set on our Reunion this June.
