After Adam's polemic (which I vastly enjoyed) it's back to SOP.

Former secretary Bridget Calhoun wrote in to say that she was especially glad to have passed off the secretary's duties. In her spare time she and her husband, George, are happily consumed with baby No. 2 Jamie, born on December 30. Jamie joins his 3-year-old brother, Luke, in keeping Bridget and George fully booked. When she does peel herself away from her boys, Bridget works "very" part-time at Crowell & Moring in D.C. practicing antitrust law.

Bridget still manages to squeeze in time to see Sue (Walther) King and Donna Mulvihil in D.C. Sue and husband Joe have a 2-year-old daughter, Hayley. Away from Hayley, Sue does Web designing and consulting. Donna has returned to D.C. after finishing law school in N.Y.C. She is now a litigator with Milbank Tweed.

News from northern New Hampshire, from Tim Wennrich and Jessie Griffiths: "Yes, there is life north of the Hanover Plain. Throughout the chaos of raising two boys, Jeb (4) and Cole.(i), we have embarked on some new endeavors after teaching for the past 10 years. I have started an organic vegetable and berry farm, while Jessie has co-founded an amazing school. Check it out at www.woodlandcommunityschool.org.

"Recently we spent a great weekend in Boston hanging out with Jay Gonzonlaz, Jenny Richlin, Katie Driscoll and her husband, Chris. I see lots of Chip Davis, who never left the Upper Valley and started and publishes the amazing Rowing News. Pete McBride occasionally comes to town in between his paid vacations for National Geographic and we had dinner with him back in January. Angus King, his wife, Cricket, Chip Davis, Baird Ruch and I got together for a cabin trip near the Skiway back in early winter. Angus lives and works in Portland, Maine, for an affordable housing company and Baird has hung a sign up in Boston. Although I haven't seen Sandy Osborne and Dan Leblanc for a while, rumor has it they are doing well in N.Y.C. and the Berkshires, respectively. Would love to hear from folks at timw@kingcon.net."

Joining Bridget and George with a second child are Pam Adelstein and Michael Weissmann.

Pam and Michael have two daughters to compliment Bridgets two sons. Hmm, too bad they live in Newton, Massachusetts. Kayla was born on December 12 and has overcome her 3-year-old sisters initial hesitation. Eliana has "decided that Kayla is okay after all."

And that's all the new news—send in the good word.
