Our Far-Flung Campus

Twenty-four alumni and partners traveled to Costa Rica and the Panama ('.anal last spring as part of Dartmouth's Alumni College Abroad program. They traveled With Dartmouth professors Gerd Gennmden. who leciured on pop star and Panama presidential candidate Ruben Blades, and Silvia Spitta. who led discussions about modernization in the literature and culture of Costa Rica. The College sponsors about ten such trips each year, all led by Dartmouth faculty. who encourage travelers to connect to places through literature, politics, history, science,' geography or the arts. Trips are now being organized to Panama, Australia; Brazil, the Aegean Sea. Li arrogate, and Burgundy.
