President Freedman announced on October 15 the largest bequest ever received by Dartmouth, an $l8.1 million gift from the estate ..of the late Florence B. Moore, widow of Lansing, who died in 1990. "During their lifetimes, Flo and Lansing Moore were remarkable in their loyalty to Dartmouth," said Freedman. The Trustees will honor the Moore family by naming a new building, Moore Hall, to house the College's psychology department.
We remember the friendships that developed with Flo and Lanny on class trips and reunions. After Lanny's death, Flo continued the close association with classmates and honored in this way their love for Dartmouth.
