Our Florida East Coast mini-reunion was most successful, thanks to Babe and Anne Shea's arrangements for us to enjoy the facilities of their lovely Moorings Club in Vero Beach. Food delicious, service good, and we had a great time. Bob and Mary Engelman were there. Bob with his Dartmouth cap and 1934 banner, reported that we were already ahead of our Alumni Fund goal, as usual. Harry and Prue Gilmore won the distance prize, Prue driving all the 450 miles from Hilton Head Island; Bud and Sara Hart took second place, from Ormond Beach. Win and Syl Watts were right there, having lived in Vero Beach for die last 20 years, since Win retired from his medical practice in Marblehead, Mass. Herman and Sylvia Spitzer from Palm Beach complimented us on our accurate directions; Jim Bayles, from Stuart, was unable to bring Ellie because of illness, and Bob and Millie Offenbach, with every intention of coming, had to cancel because of trouble with a practically new car.

On the West Coast, Andy Donaldson reported to Bill Scherman that "the reunion at the Naples Beach Club went remarkably well. Both Jack Tobin and Bill Wilson spoke briefly, and Frank Lepreau brought some memorabilia and a recording to play. Those attending: Hafey and Lucy Arthur, Dick and Helen Campen, Phipps and Betty Cole (Phipps had put on a bit of weight since he and I were two of the seven physics majors in 1934), Jane Daniells, Bob and Marge Griffin, Laura Heath, Dick Houck and daughter Janice Eldridge, Charlie Kehoe, Frank (Lepreau) and Alice Knox, Stan Silverman, Jack and Bobbie Tobin, and Bill and Irja Wilson. Nancy and I expected Hank and Barbara Allen but did not hear from them hope they're OK. I'm out $9.08 put it down as part of my Alumni Fund gift!"

It is with sadness that we report the death of our fun-loving and great storyteller, '34's football captain Phil Glazer, on February 17, 1997. Our sincerest sympathy to Suzy and her family. An obituary will aDDear in the magazine shortly.
