If you still haven't gotten your e-mail address to Alex Kaplan (), get it to him soon. He's planning on sending out an updated list of all '93s addresses. His goal is to increase the list to over 500. It's also an easy way to get your information to me. Which would be nice. Since Alex is updating the list, I thought I ought to update his information, or rather have him update it himself. "Well, let's talk about me. Since the election, I've traveled a bit road tripping across the country in November and December, driving from N.C. through Florida and Missouri en route to San Diego (yes, I can read a map. It was the scenic route). Then I went to Aspen on my way back to Memphis. I was surprised on my travels that I didn't run into a single '93. Usually, I always happen upon someone. I had given up on that theory when in January I went with my family to Israel for 10 days. We went out to eat one night in Jerusalem. Who should be eating at the same restaurant as us but Chad Dick. He was there a on a little jaunt with Perm's Wharton School to study some sorta business thing before the new semester started. He also told me he is getting married, but I don't know to whom or when."

According to Alex, Kate Cudney lives in D.C. and will be married soon, but not to anyone we know. Alex is now back in Memphis, working at a bookstore, writing, has enrolled at the University of Memphis in an M.F A. Creative Writing program, and "playing power forward in the Jewboy league at the local Jewish Community Center (sorry for the mental image)." Alex and Seth Alpert, a fifth-year student at UT Memphis, will be living together beginning in June and have invited us all over for a big party.

Angus King e-mails to assure the rest of us that neither he nor Nicole Rabner had anything to do with anything, nothing whatsoever, with any of the White House scandals, woes or troubles, nothing. Which must mean that they have no post higher than coffee boy and copy girl. Angus is the special assistant to the chief of staff for policy and planning and Nicole and Jon Murchinson '91 work down the hall. Descending on Boston last winter, Sandy Osborne (engaged to an unnamed Princeton grad, lives in Boston and will be married in May), Chip Davis (still living the good life in Hanover and publishing the Independent Rowing News), Pete McBride, Dan Leblanc (Pete and Dan live in Colorado and built a 10th Mountain Division Hut near Vail last summer), Baird Ruch ("making a name for himself in the world of science"), and Angus were on hand for the Beantown debut of Beavis and Butthead. You can take the person away from culture, but you just can't take culture away from the person. Or something like that.

From Toronto, Robin Tessier reports that he has been able to get together with Shawn Burt quite often. "Shawn is (ostensibly) doing well working at Digital Equipment Canada, a computer company, driving the corporation's stock price into the cellar. I have been communicating sporadically with Peter Clark, Greg Chapman, Eric McCarthy, and Chris Clancy. Peter works for TCI in Denver and is set to marry his longtime love, Kari, this coming summer. Greg is working with ONYX, a software company out in Seattle, living with his girlfriend, who he plans to marry this July. Eric passed the Maryland bar and is a practicing attorney with Baker & Hostetler in Washington, D.C., specializing in First Amendment litigation. As for Chris, I had occasion to travel to Madison, Wise., where he has completed his second year of medical school at the University of Wisconsin. He tells me that classes aren't too tough, but are quite long, which may be the reason why his red curlicues are down to his shoulders. The poor kid looks like Pippy Longstockings. As for me, like Eric and many of our classmates, I too am working in a corporate law firm that specializes in business transactions. It's just why I took those sociology and government classes."

Keep those letters rolling, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
