I was shocked to find that the March issue of the magazine had no column from the Class of '35. When I inquired as to the reason, I was told that I never sent in a column. I'm sure that I did send one but unfortunately cannot find the carbon copy to prove this, so if anyone would like to send me another copy of what they wrote, I'll see that it gets into a future issue. Oh well, you can't win 'em all!

I received a letter from Will Gahagan, stating that, "Some time ago, I revealed to Bill Mathers the tragic story of my automobile accident in Hanover on May 4, 1934, in which my date from Bennington was lost. But now I do truly regret your reference to this happening in such a casual fashion in the 'alumnae' issue." My apologies, Will.

This letter came from Jack Petrequin's widow, June. "It is sad to be forced to enclose jack's obituary, from which a number of items were omitted. Pamela Petrequin Ringsered was in the class of 1974, and her husband, Daniel J. Ringsered, was in the class of 1975. Jack loved to travel and in our 12 trips abroad we covered Western Europe. The trips were enjoyable because of his knowledge of languages." Baker Library was his second home at Dartmouth. I enjoy reading the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine each month, and our articles especially. P.S. I should like to join the Dartmouth '35 widows' club."

Yank Price writes, "To all class officers and executive committee people: I have just learned from George Colton that Frank O. Adams has accepted the position of class treasurer. He is replacing our back-up treasurer, Put Kingsbury, who has moved to California. Frank O. Adams, 51 Wedgemere Ave., Winchester, MA 01890-2439; (617) 729-4349. Double thanks to Bill and George."

Yank Price sent me a clipping of Walter B. Holmes' death. He was an ex-city controller for Nashua from 1973 to 1984. He also served as controller with SCORE for seven years and was a Gold Card retiree of that organization. The alumni death notice has not reached me from the College so that should appear in a future issue of the Alumni Magazine. (Whoops I see that George Colton has already sent in this obituary. I apologize for this confusion, and George has good reason to regret that he asked me to take this job!)
