Who says reunions can only happen every five years? Two weeks ago (end of January) I was fortunate enough to spend three days with three of my closest friends from Dartmouth days. Terri Sergesketter Heath, Kirsten Johansen, Lynn Fabrizio, and I decided not to wait literally until the next century to get together. So, thanks to the tireless persistence of Terri we attended the first of what we plan to be many annual get togethers right in my back yard, the Texas Hill Country. In between searching for cowboys not as common as you might think—and visiting such diverse and unexpected places as a Russian orthodox monastery on a ranch and a wild game reserve with zebra, camels, and ostriches, we talked and talked and talked and.. .well, you get the idea. We are truly blessed to have each other and to have maintained our close ties so long after graduating. We literally came from all over the country New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Houston which is a true testament to the friendships we started in Hanover. Next year in Mexico!

Peter Lehmann lives in New Jersey and is working at American Express doing strategic planning. His wife, Liz, stays home with Sam 7, Cassandra 5, and Nate 1.5. For this incredible task, Peter thanks Liz and "looks at her in amazement" (a really sweet thing to say). Peter says he lives a conventional life and would play golf instead of working if it weren't for the fact that he isn't independently wealthy! Peter reports that RickJoyce is doing "something media-related for Andersen Consulting, is married with two kids Emma 8 and Claire 6 and in his 'spare' time directs shows and sings in an a capella group."

Sue Spencer Reckford definitely competes for top mom awards. When I called, she had just returned from carpooling the kids Spencer 9, Samantha 7, and Molly 5 to their various activities, was helping them with their homework, AND was making lasagna! Add that hectic schedule to her fashion design classes and her knitting and you wonder when she sleeps (maybe that is her secret she doesn't!). Husband Sam Reckford '83 is still an investment banker. Sue and Sam are both very active in their communities, but as she puts it so wisely, "We only spend time on things we care about" a smart strategy we all should consider.

Reversal of previous column: JimKreitmann, still with First Boston, is doing the travel shuffle and is back living in Hong Kong with his wife and two kids after setding in Phoenix not too long ago. Jim, make sure to send me an e-mail with your new address and updates on how long you'll be overseas.

News from the Net: Todd Cohen and wife Maureen somehow managed to have their first child, Rachel (born in October), in between moving from Duke to Charlotte to Columbus, where Todd is on the faculty of the Ohio State Medical Center as an assistant professor of surgery/urology. Todd reports that Scott Schneider and his wife, Beth, now have two kids, Brian 1.5 and Courtney 6 months, and live in Charlotte. Patrick Viscardi and his wife, Lenore, also have two of their own, Amanda and Dominic "the Dominator." Patrick is finishing his plastic surgery training at Duke. Scott Liebman and wife Laura nicoletti welcomed Matteo (Matthew) Paul to their family on December 23 and will be moving from Santa Monica to San Francisco after Laura finishes her Ph.D. in molecular biology this summer.

Keep those e-mails coming!
