We are delighted to report that through Paul Weston's estate, Joe Stafford Weston has arranged for the setting up in Paul's memory of a scholarship which will be available for an undergraduate majoring in music. This is great news, and one must note the appropriateness that two top musical figures have combined to benefit a future Dartmouth student musician. Paul and his brother Frank contributed much to the musical scene when in Hanover, and this generous gift will continue their constructive involvement.

Dick Lyon and your correspondent attended the local Dartmouth Club reception for President Wright on Nov. 10, where a large and enthusiastic crowd greeted our new leader and his charming wife, Susan. Wright gave a long, forceful, and impressive "State of the Union" report on the condition of the College (excellent, except for football) and laid out in detail his plans for the future. With an impressive physical presence and a winning sense of humor, he made clear that there will be no stagnation in Hanover during his regime and that there will be a "Full Speed Ahead" engineer at the throttle. It will pay alumni/ae to review his proposals, which include substantial changes.

Jean Meek has reported in from 116 Brook Hollow, Hanover, describing a fivemonth Maine vacation, which included a noteworthy daily 18-hole golf round. FANTASTICO! She hopes that the class will resume the mini-reunion custom next year. O.K., but we need a chairperson. What say, Jean?
