Feeling any Dartmouth pangs lately? Pining for a view of jßaker Tower? Wishing you could just nap on the Green for a few hours? Wondering if the Happy Hop Guy is still around? Hankering for an EBA's chicken sandwich? Well, in a few short months, you will have the opportunity once again to revisit all your old haunts of Hanover-so start making a list of everything you want from the Co-Op, and drag all your old and new friends back to Dartmouth for Reunion Weekend! The dates for the weekend are June 18,19, and 20—it will be here before you know it, so please markyour calendars. You can "register" on-line by going to our web page () and completing the on-line reply card. You will also be able to review tie schedule of events for the weekend, so be sure to take a look and start making plans! Now, onto the idle chatter of this month's column....On the way home from Leadership Weekend in Hanover this past fall, Jen Suhie gave me the skinny on some of her friends, so here goes: Robin Anns is engaged to Tim Shields. They were engaged this summer aboard Robin's boat, while having a romantic moonlit dinner on Long Island Sound. Robin is currently pursuing her master's degree in marine biology at L RI. They are planning a July 1999 wedding. Ashley Bowen and Jen will be in the bridal party. Speaking of Ashley, she is working at Bronner, Schlosberg, and Humphrey in Boston, along with Kristen Doyle, who is also Ashley's roommate. Kathryn Murphy was also engaged this summer and is planning to be married in August of this year. She and her fiance will finish up their law degrees this May from UVA. ChristyDowding continues to work at Monitor Consulting in Boston. Her job most recently sent her to Russia and Africa-'we'll have to wait and see what her next move will be!" says Jen. And as for Jen herself, she is still in the Boston area, living in Waltham, Mass. She graduated from Simmons last May with a master's in social work and has since been working for Wediko Children's Services. She sees children identified with special needs in individual psychotherapy. I received a note from Pherabe Kolb, who has picked quite an "interesting" time in our nation's history (or perhaps "pathetic" is a better word) to launch her career in political journalism. She writes, "I have spent the better part of this fall living a journalist's dream (or nightmare, depending on how you look at it) covering the impeachment story for Congressional Quarterly." She was doing this while also completing law school applications so she'll have "somewhere to escape to next fall." I hope Pherabe found a little mini-escape when she went to NYC over Christmas for the wedding of Emily Abernathy '95 and David Jones '95. She was hoping to see some more Dartmouth folks there and promises to report on "that affair" in the New Year! Best of luck, Pherabe, and we look forward to hearing more news from you! And finally, Pherabe ends her note with a line that saves me the trouble of putting in another shameless plug of my own. She writes: "Tell everyone they have to come to Reunion-I can't wait!' So there you have it. I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you, and to seeing many ofyou (I hope!) in June! Until then, go buy some stamps or a modem, depending on your budget, and please write to me.
