Hey '95s, welcome to my inaugural column! I look forward to hearing from you all and passing on your news to our class. So, please write. Jen Main writes from med school at the Univ. of Rochester, where she is currently in her second year. This past summer she and Nate Ayer, a fellow med student, interned with the Boulder County Health Department in Boulder, Colo. Jen also writes to say that Michale Glennon is currently living in Syracuse, N.Y., and enrolled at the SUNY School of Environmental Science and Forestry, getting her Ph.D. in wildlife biology. Michale lives with Paulette Salmon, who is getting her M.A. at the same school. Claudia Ginsberg is currently a fourth year at Cornell Med, interviewing for residency positions in the NYC area. Laurie Wilkie is doing clinical research in Chicago at Northwestern University and applying to medical school. Between working and filling out application forms, Laurie can be found at the local swing dance clubs. Vanessa Levesque is in her third year with the Peace Corps in Uganda. Final words from Jen are about Phyllis (Steinberg) Fagell and StevenFagell, who returned to Boston after a brief stint in Chicago, where Phyllis earned an M.A. in journalism. Currently Steve is a second-year at Harvard Law.

Moving from upstate N.Y. to news from NYC, Erica Rosengarten writes that she graduated from law school and is currently working as an assistant DA in Queens County. Erica also writes that Erin Gaffney is getting her Ph.D. in psychology at University of Pittsburgh and is engaged to be married in June 1999 to Aaron Henderson. On the business school-front, Erica writes that Lissa Rosenthal is in her first year at Wharton, Rebecca VanHazinga is in her first year at Stanford, and Maria Ruderman is finishing up at Harvard. Some additional Boston news: Beth Cassavell is working for Zeff Davis, Sharon Chung is with Fidelity, and Pam Stevens is an auditor for Price Water house Coopers. Last but not least, Erica writes that Moriah Shilton recently relocated to San Francisco.

Vuyi Radebe writes from Johannesburg, South Africa, to say that he has been doing private equity with a company called New Africa Advisors for the past year and a half. Guy Dixon, David Jones, and Kat Kincaid are some '95s who have gone to visit him. He also wants to clarify a comment made regarding the name of ToddParment's ship, Makulu 11. According to Vuyi, "Makulu" does not mean "big mama" in Zulu. There is no word "Makulu"; the closest Zulu word would be "Makhulu" which is an adjective describing size. Some wedding news: Jane-Anne(McCoy) Tucker writes that she married Louis Tucker. Class of '95 wedding attendees included Jen Lien, Alison Cook,Lara Belena, Brian Bajari, RossDowney, Dave Rinehart, KajaSchuppert, Kisha Teaney, HeatherKoop, and Charles Kim. Since graduating, Jane-Anne received an M.A. in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston. Currently the couple is living in Germany, where Louis is stationed as a U.S. Navy SEAL. AlexandraLesk was married this past September 1998 in England. Grant Cerney was an usher in the wedding and Kisha Teaney was a vocalist. Alex is still "doing the archaeology-thing" and is currently wiring a thesis on healing sanctuaries in Italy. Closer to home, Erik Wilson was married in August 1998 to Mary-Catherine Atkins in Houston, Texas. Class of'95 guests included Jenny Fung, Kent Dahn, MaryRodriguez, Jen Mitchell, GretchenFreeman, Mark Andrews, and ScottBrady. One final bit of nuptial news: ChrisBoran wrote to announce his engagement to Kristin Kuroda '97; no info on the wedding date yet.

Thanks, everyone who wrote to me about their "goings-on." Keep in touch.
