Don't forget our 60th Reunion June 12-14, 2000. Constance Hurley, widow of Paul E. Hurley, died in a December fire in a New York City Upper Westside high-rise. The fire began in the Macauley Culkins's apartment, killing four people. Suit on behalf of his mother has been filed by Hurley's son Paul E. Hurley Jr.

Bill Huffman in a recent note commented that Dartmouth Hall is the best-looking college building anywhere. In reply to why he still lives in Cleveland he said, "Foremost, home for two of our sons and seven grandchildren, old friends, the Cleveland Orchestra and museum, and a view out our windows of Lake Erie." Bill and Jane had time in Naples, Fla., this past winter and are looking forward to a boat trip from Vienna to Amsterdam in August.

The Big Green Sports News had the following about Andrew Dance, Dave Dance's grandson, from head lacrosse coach Rick Stowell. "We think Andrew's a fine goalie and that is obviously going to be critical for us to have success. More important is his ability to be a team leader out of the goal. From the first day I came here, he has shown that he is ready to take that responsibility. He is a natural, he likes to be a leader, and the team rallies around him and values his maturity." Grandparents Dave and Jane attended his graduation.

Note from Web Whitney promising to write more. He had just returned from five weeks in Florida, the Carolinas, and Virginia.

Tag Tatgenhorst wrote latest on geese and golf courses. They rented a border collie. Two whistles and he crept stealthily east and one whistle west, or maybe it was the other way? He was smarter than I am. After the geese were reasonably corralled they flew to one of the lakes (there are four). Bunker what do we do now? Be quick they're multiplying fast. Ankle deep in geese manure.

Sam Williams noted the death of Victor G. Bloede. However, our classmate is VictorC. Bloede. Was there any connection? So we asked and discovered they were cousins.

In 1970 Jack Little found in a Southampton bookstore and presented to the College, a 1838 first edition entitled Sonnets by British poet laureate William Wordsworth. What makes this particular copy of the 477-page work virtually priceless are the several corrections, an inscription, and two poems written in his own hand on a back flyleaf.

Ruby Nydegger, widow of Don Rainie, died April 3, 1999, following a tragic automobile accident. She had been a lifelong supporter of the Concord (N.H.) Regional Visiting Nurse Association.
