Lou Heavenrich reports that he celebrated his 90th in Islamorada on the Keys, where they have gone for the last 35 years to escape the cold weather and to fish. He says he's one of the lucky ones, but unfortunately his Dartmouth contacts haven't been classmates. Joe Byram and Eleanor have joined Dave Kirby and Adie in Tryon Estates, North Carolina. Joe finds that Dave is well known and respected in Tryon for his civic activities, including founding its famous Fence equestrian organization, which has a lovely club and riding area. I hope you all noticed a recent Dartmouth Life article about the Dave Kirby Adventure Fund, which provides for Ledyard Canoe Club members to paddle in other parts of the world. According to Harry Rowe, carnival day on a cruise stop at Trinidad prevented Johnny Richardson from taking a tour that included Stollmeyer Castle. As for me, I get in my weekly 18 holes trying to avoid playing Civil War golf, out in 61 and back in 65, but happy if it's Korean War's low 50s. Sadly, our ranks are thinning too fast. This year we have lost Jack Eliot, Ron Olmstead, Tomlinson, Whitcomb, Ernie Johnson, O'Brien, Corbett and Sack. I urge you to log onto our class Web site at www.alum.dartmouth.org/classes/32 when visiting children, friends or your library. It's full of class news and pictures. With only eight of us with computers, after year-end we'll delete the out-of-date material and leave only a presence.
