You may feel likeyou're reading a column from Dartmouth 'BO Business Review, as most of the correspondence I've received for this issue regards successful business ven- tures and appointments of classmates. So, congratulations to all of the following who are making a great mark for the class of'80 in the world of business.

Andrew T. Sheehan was appointed to the board of directors of Cyveillance, a leading provider of "extra-site" e-business intelligence. Andrew is a general partner of ABS Capital Partners, a private equity firm.

Entertainment Weekly announced the promotion of Ty Burr to writer-at-large. Ty joined the EW staff shortly after its launch in 1990. As senior editor Ty was instrumental in extending EWs Internet coverage. In his new position, Ty will contribute to all areas of the magazine. Entertainment Weekly is Americas leading consumer magazine of entertainment and popular culture.

Robert J. Henderson Jr. is in the news for his recent appointment as head of the Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts. Bob was chosen from among 200 candidates and is the sixth head in the school's 134-year history. Last time we heard from Bob he was headmaster of North Yarmouth Academy in Yarmouth, Maine. At Nobles, Bob will be leading the 500-student, independent school for grades 7-12 and will continue to teach history. Bob and his wife, Ross, and their three sons have relocated to the Dedham area.

If I had the space I would love to reprint an article from the Roanoke Times & World News (March 26) about Frank Batten Jr.'s "Red-Hot Investment." Frank's investment in a software company from North Carolina, Red Hat Inc., gained him a ranking of 41st on Forbes list, above Ross Perot, David Rockefeller and Randolph Hearst. Batten is chairman of Landmark Communications Inc, a privately held company. Frank, wife Aimee, and sons Frank, 5, and James, 1, live in Norfolk, Virginia.

The law firm of Devine, Millimet & Branch of North Hampton, New Hampshire, has named Paul Salafia to its board of directors. Paul has been with the firm for 11 years and has concentrated his practice in the areas of workers' compensation and insurance defense. Paul is a member of the New Hampshire and American bar associations and frequently lectures on the topic of workers' compensation.

□avid Teplow has been named to the board of directors of Koan Interactive, a software company that uses technologies and services to combine photo realistic 3D images with collaboration for a "virtual" trial experience on the Web. Dave is the founder and past CEO of Database Technologies Inc., one of the fastest growing technology companies in the nation.

Dave Bialosky is vice president and assistant general counsel for TRW Inc. Dave sends his apologies for missing our 20th: "I ended up relocating my family from Cleveland to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, that weekend. There seems to be a trend. I was hoping to attend the 15th reunion also but ended up relocating my family to Orange County that weekend. I remain op-

timistic about the 25th reunion—relocations are getting old." Dave and his wife, Tammy, have two daughters, Grace, 9, and Elisabeth, 7.

That's it for this months issue of 'BO Business Review. Feel free to forward news of exciting events in your life to either of us.
